Goldilocks

Unravelled sheets won't let me go,

My unwound dreams and tethered soul,

Surrendered to your unmade bed.

You come back in the morning,

Your nocturnal escape outstayed.

Two bodies tumbling in time.

We can never quite catch each other,

Like being in a room with a ghost,

I follow the shapes of smoke you leave behind.

I do not haunt you as you do me,

As your head is on my chest,

And your weight surrounds me.

But I have my ways of coping,

Exorcizing memory,

Smudging time.

In your bed,

I am comfortable

and I dont want to move.

You find me,

By surprise.

Try to move me,

Shake me,

Wake me up.

But I dream of the time I spent with you

And I won't let go.
