Cathedral Light
I wonder what you thought of,
When you lit those three candles?
There was one for you, one for me,
And the other was left a mystery.
-
I thought of many things,
And after many questions,
I thought I had the reason,
That the last one was for us.
-
So when I lit my tealight,
I lit it only for you,
And I stamped out the match halfway,
So that the smoke was left for me.
-
Then when we talked of a god you told me,
Whoever I believed in would hear me,
So I knelt down beside you,
And prayed to you in your name.
